Principal Civil Engineer (Consultancy)

MillTech is working closely with a leading engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions. They have a history of excellence and a commitment to sustainability; they are seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead their civil engineering projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee large-scale civil engineering projects from conception through to completion
• Provide technical expertise and ensure design integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Manage project teams, coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
• Develop project proposals, budgets, and schedules
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery
• Ensure quality control and risk management throughout project lifecycles

Qualifications & Experience:

• A degree or HND in civil engineering
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration
• Extensive experience in civil engineering, with significant leadership roles
• Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of a range of schemes
• Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage, or similar
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, project management tools)
